Our latest show: The Saviors of Ruigrijk

Afgelopen dinsdag was het dan eindelijk tijd voor de première van onze nieuwste voorstelling en het was zo enorm bijzonder.

Stichting Gilat has translated the fairy tale book, ‘De Redders van Ruigrijk’ written by presenter and writer Marc de Hond, who died in 2020, into an interactive children’s show. It will be performed in all academic children’s hospitals in the Netherlands.

The story is about two children who, despite their disabilities, battle the two-headed dragon and become the saviours of the village.

During the cheerful, musical and occasionally exciting performance, children in hospital are challenged to play along which allows them to escape from reality, being sick, for a while! In the end, it will prove that whoever you are and whatever you can do, you can always be a saviour.

The premiere of this special performance took place on 11 April at Emma Children’s Hospital. This spring and autumn, however, all academic children’s hospitals will have their turn. Below is a list of planned dates:

  • 11 april: Emma Kinderziekenhuis
  • 12 april: Prinses Máxima Centrum
  • 3 mei: Juliana Kinderziekenhuis
  • 14 mei: Sophia Kinderziekenhuis
  • 17 mei: Amalia Kinderziekenhuis
  • 24 mei: Beatrix Kinderziekenhuis
