Wednesday 22 June was the day! Amalia Children’s Hospital officially opened its doors to the Gilat Theatre. During this first Gilat performance, sick children with parents, brothers and sisters enjoyed the comic duo ‘De Nuffe Tantes’. With this, the Gilat Foundation brings various acts to this Nijmegen hospital every month to allow families to relax and laugh during the most difficult period of their lives. The RadboudUmc, Amalia Children’s Hospital in Nijmegen is the seventh academic children’s hospital in a row where Stichting Gilat can provide interactive theatre. ‘It is fantastic that we can now perform in this region of our country too. When you are sick, enjoyable breaks are necessary. Every child deserves that,’ said chairman Jaïr Eisenmann.
