Over 500 seriously ill children were able to watch the Sophia Song Contest from their hospital beds. A unique collaboration between Gilat Foundation, Sophia TV and Muziekids. With the help of artists such as Jeangu Macrooy, René van Kooten, Lakshmi, Dennis Willekens and YouTube star Frank Slotta, we provided hours of fun.
Most impressive was the special junior competition. Six children who had faced a serious illness in the past year competed against each other. WNL- Goedemorgen Nederland made a moving report on this.
So last weekend, we were back at Erasmus MC- Sophia Children’s Hospital in Rotterdam for a while. But we can’t wait to once again create weekly interactive children’s theatre for the children in all academic hospitals.
